Speaker:
Reed Brockman, PE, VP and Manager of Bridge & Tunnel Inspections, AECOM
From North Station, the group will cross through the West End of Boston and talk about the viaducts and tunnels there past and present and walk towards the Museum of Science, where you’ll discuss the Craigie Bridge and the old Charles River Dam.
You will proceed to the back of the Museum of Science and learn about the Longfellow Bridge. From there, you will pass under the Science Park viaduct and see the Central Artery loop ramps, the North Bank pedestrian bridge, the CANA structures, the Leverett Connector, the Zakim Bridge, the North Washington Street Bridge and finally visit Portal Park and talk about the Central Artery Tunnel.
There will be a networking social hour to follow the tour at the nearby Night Shift Brewing on Lovejoy Wharf. Appetizers will be served and are included in the registration fee.
